Looking for a good performance wheel size and offset, with good tire combo.
I'lol make this short and sweet. I have searched but all these threads seem to turn into who is running the most extreme tire setup/how far someone has pushed their wheels etc
I have a IX Mr sitting on Ohlins Coilovers (love these things). Looking to replace the wheels it has currently (Evo X GSR Enkeis - 18x8.5+38, on 245/40/18).
Debating on switching back to 17, or staying with 18. I am looking to most likely run RPF1, in a wide 9.0/9.5 or so. I like the look of the +15 (want something aggressive), but I do not want to look riced out or affect performance.
Car is not tracked....but I do daily spirited drives on the street
1.) what would be an appropriate wheel offset/ size and tire size for my goals?
Thanks to any input

Go with 18x9.5 +38, and 265/35r18 tires. You'll need a front spacer for strut and caliper clearance (20mm most likely), and 3mm rear spacer will give more room to the trailing arm. The rear fender will need to be fully rolled. This is the best looking fitment for these cars IMO, and getting it to fit isn't overly difficult,

Would the tire size 265 or 255 be more appropriate here on the 17x9.5 setup, if looking for the most aggressive yet functional setup I can achieve
Thank you for the input

I'm a bit late adding my 2 cents, but 17x9 with +30 to +35 offset paired with 255/40-17s fits without rubbing anywhere even with coilovers. Max performance tires tend to run a little wider and may require closer to +35 mm offset. I'm running Enkei PF01SS rims that are 19 lbs each and currently currently at +32 offset using a 3 mm spacer. Its a nice combo because good 255/40-17 tires are much less expensive than comparably wide 265/35-18 tires.
