Good info guys.. anyone tried any of the following tires:
BFGoodrich KDW
Bridgestone S-03
You can't beat the price of the Azenis but I think I'd regret buying them due to your comments IzenGreyEvo7.

I have the Pirelli P-Zero Neros on my car as my all-season tire.
Not the best grip by any means. Its an all-season tire though so I didnt expect it to have great grip.
On the good side, I get about 3-4 more mpg on the highway with these tires and awesome rain traction. I like em'

The FM901's look nice.. I've never tried a set of dunlops before. Price is pretty nice on this tire as well.. around 130/ea
So what do you guys think..
BFGoodrich KDW
Bridgestone S-03
Dunlop FM901

The Dunlop is still considered a Max Performance Summer tire. Its strong point is with wet traction, some of the best in its class (has a nickname called Hydromax its considered that good). However, tread wear and overall dry grip are this tires weakness. Anything other than wet the tire sort of lacks. Theres better out there.
Dunlop FM901 does not compare to the Advan A046. It's louder and doesn't come remotely close to the grip or handling. I believe Neil's comments immediately above mine are referring to the Dunlop SP9000, which I believe to be one of the worst overall max performance tires. Its dry grip and handling are nothing special at all.
The BFG KD is actually superior tire to the Advan A046. Both are a little sketchy in the wet but that's not what they were built for.
I also like the Yokohama AVS Sport a lot. It's much better in the wet and less noise than the BFG KD, and being cheaper doesn't hurt either.
One of those two tires in a 245/40-17 will be what I put on my Evo next.

I would say the BFG KD's only weakness is the asymetrical tread pattern. The EVO is really hard on the shoulder of a tire at the track. If you plan to do track days the S-03 might be better in that it has a symetrical pattern, letting you unmount them and remount them with the inside now being the shoulder.

Yep .. I agree. I have never used the stock advans (car came from jaoan without them) so I have yet to experience these tires. The FM901s felt impressive to me
The 9000s suck in the dry!tire selection is VERY limited here in Jamaica. It may be time to send a money-order to tirerack.com

I still haven't been able to decide
I'm stuck between the following:
BFGoodrich KDW
Bridgestone S-03
I don't do track events.. however I do like to take corners with some speed.. It does rain here quite often.. I'm leaning towards the KDW's anyone want to give me a push

If it rains quite a bit I'd go with the S-03. For such a great dry tire it has wonderful wet traction. I had the KDW's on my old FD RX-7 and they don't compare to the S-03 in the wet.
