Vibration from Stock Rotors, Which to go with?
I have not really looked around, but im sure there are many more of you that are expirienced with this (since this is more of a track forum) i dont really track my car, I may eventually but who knows, what brake upgrades would you suggest...line...pads..and rotors im looking to do. but mainly rotors (front) first because they are vibrating the whole front end when stopping from around 60. Its annoying because i have 7500 miles on my car. so what do you suggest and where from...prices..
thanks

The EVO rotors warp...constantly! I'm on my 3rd warping...they were cut 2 times...now mitus won't touch them. They say I am beating on my car...yeah ok...like they ride with me and my daughter right? If I was beating on my car...other things would be F'd up.
Look for some good slotted ones...I am personally going with a set of Rotora Sloted Rotors...
Here is a guys name in Wisconsin...he's preping a group buy for everyone...ask if you can be on the list.
03bluebyuevo. Look him up...and PM him...tell him I sent you and to ask about the Rotora Group Buy on slotted rotors.
He's ending is this week I believe...if not sooner

I had the same problem with brake rotor warpage. I had the rotors turned 3 times, once at about 7k, once at 11k, then again at around 15k. The dealer turned the rotors once under warranty, the other 2 times were on my dime. Finally, I said the hell with it and put on new front rotors.
I've got some DBA (aka RMR, aka Stillen Brake Pros) slotted rotors now. They were just under $500 a pair for the fronts. I've had them on my car for about 10k miles now, and have had no problems with the rotors whatsoever. IMO they are worth every penny!
Look around though, I'm sure you can find rotors that will work just as well for a lot less $

Replaced for free eh? My dealer wouldn't. The service manager called regional rep and was told to turn them not replace them. My car only had 1500 miles.

I may have the same problem you do...
I'd visit Stoptech's website, they seem to have good stuff. www.stoptech.com
I think for stock-size replacement front rotors for the Evo (slotted or drilled-I'd go with slotted if I were you) are $157/piece.
Vishnu used Stoptech brakes on their OneLap/ C&D SuperTuner Shootout Evo.

I also have the same problem. Light braking from 75 the wheel shakes like crazy. Heavy braking from 75 it is ok. I also have more brake dust on my front passenger side then my drivers side. The car pulls after 3 alignements first 2 right last 1 left, the front tires still shake at high speeds after 3 balances. I'm starting to think it's the rotors now. I have taken it to 2 places they can't get the damn car to go straight on the highway or stop shaking from 55-75. My car shakes from 55-75 but as you get to 80 it stops. All I can say is WTF.
