409 HP @ CBRD with BBX

Finally got my car hooked up from the mad scientists at CBRD. They put a 3-port, thier new manifold (swain coated), injectors, and the BBX. I've driven it over the last two days and all I can say is WOW! It pulls incredibly hard all the way to where I had Chad set my rev limit at 7600. There is a little bit of lag, but all that power up near redline is well worth the sacrifice. Before when I drove it, I found myself shifting early because the car seemed to fall on it's face up top. Problem solved! Thanks again Chad and Mark for everything!

My numbers before were 347 hp 337 tq with boltons. Now I'm at 409 hp and 330 tq on 93 oct.

Here's the graph and a photo:

That's next. Just don't know which ones yet...or if I'm gonna do springs/retainers...or if I'm gonna port and polish while I'm in there. Decisions, decisions.

Looks great... I agree I do not like the spool up from the BBX, only thing that prevented me from picking it for my replacement.

I have overlayed it with one of our competitors turbos and it spools the same, our new smaller bbx spools almost identical to the stock turbo but isn't quite as large as the big bbx

with cams and a smaller bbx do you think it can still reach the 400whp mark?

Thanks Guys for all the good words. As far as the lag, any big turbo is gonna have it. I am fine with this turbos lag. Power comes on smooth and steady and doesn't end.

I would guess you would be at the same power with their smaller turbo and cams, but may have to run more boost!

Mlomker, I know what u mean. The wait almost killed me!

Jay, thanks man. I'll be at work Monday. You gotta ride in this thing!!!

I am making 385-390's on my personal X with the following:

Smaller BBX
CBRD Manifold
CBRD IC pipes
CBRD FMIC
Perrin inlet pipe
AFE Intake
3 port, turboback (with 3 mufflers)
on our 19" wheels

Now, granted, my tune is more aggressive because its my car,

but im running 27.0 psi tapering to 25 and the smaller turbo is spooling 215rpm slower than stock

With the BBX the car picks up about 25whp up top, so 420 range on stock cams...
