Makes me want to go get the MR touring but I think I'll wait till Mitsubishi comes out with the MR Touring without the sunroof.

Meeh, why is the torque so low?

Just imagine this setup on a GSR

Nice numbers for sure, i can't wait until gunzo and bryan and company finish up the SST limiters so we don't see these torque curves anymore.

Great job guys on getting that car together, from the looks of it the torque curve on that turbo setup is a good match to keep even the upgraded clutch packs alive! I dug around a bit and it appears that turbo is sized between a GT30 and GT35r, possibly the GTK-550 model with the larger turbine side would work out as well.

Model - Comp. Wheel - Comp. In/out - Turbine Wheel - Turbine Housing - Turbine Housing In/out
GT-K 325 - HP E-46 ----- 3.0"/2.0" ---------- F1-54 --------- T3 0.48 A/R ----------- 4-bolt / 4-bolt
GT-K 350 - HP E-50 ----- 3.0"/2.0" ---------- F1-54 --------- T3 0.63 A/R ----------- 4-bolt / 4-bolt
GT-K 450 - HP E-60 ----- 3.0"/2.0" ---------- F1-57 --------- T3 0.63 A/R ----------- 4-bolt / 4-bolt
GT-K 500 - HP-61 ----- 4.0"/2.5" ---------- F1-57 --------- T3 0.63 A/R ----------- 4-bolt / 4-bolt
GT-K 550 - HP-61 ----- 4.0"/2.5" ---------- F1-62 --------- T3 0.82 A/R ----------- 4-bolt / 4-bolt
GT-K 650 - HP-66 ----- 4.0"2.5" ---------- F1-65 --------- T4 0.68 A/R ----------- 4-bolt / 3" V-band
GT-K 850 - HP-72 ----- 4.0"/2.5" ---------- F1-68 --------- T4 0.81 A/R ----------- 4-bolt / 4" V-band
GT-K 1000 - HP-76 ---- 4.0"/2.5" ---------- F1-68 --------- T4 0.96 A/R ----------- 4-bolt / 4" V-band

While I would be amazed if the quarter mile performance hit high 10's at 127 mph, I'm more curious on how well it would hold up to 20-30 minutes of road course abuse if a similar build were to be done. I know it's more or less new ground but if 600-650 crank HP isn't going to work well with an MR for that kind of application I'll have to stick with the GSR for this particular buildup that is coming up.

surprised it took this long to hit 500whp. what's the limiting factor? the launch control with SST leaves a lot to be desired.

can't wait to see 1/4 numbers and some time attack results

Try sspperformance dot com for all of the MR goodies.

Yup. BlaqOps & Buschur have kits using your hanger as a core. You can roll your own with a Full Blown hanger.

I really doubt it will have any problems...honestly i bet the stock clutch packs would hold at this level.

It is torque that is the problem not hp. As you can see they are still limited by the SST software. No one has ever been limited by the SST mechanically yet...just software.
