2011 EF2.5 turbo 93oct and e85. Cobb tuning of Plano

Just finished getting a tune for e85 on a ef2.5 turbo. Previous tune was on 93oct. Car pulls great! This is it for me until I get my engine built. Calvin said it could have been more but the fuel pump and injectors are getting maxed, but im happy with the results.

Mods : EF2.5 Turbo, Ams TP, injen CAI, Map UICP, 3.5 ETS intercooler, Cobb EBCS, Ark design Single exhaust, AEM A/F Gauge, AEM Boost Gauge, Stock LICP, Ams DP, ID1000 injectors, 65DW fuel pump, Cobb accesport

Very cool! What is the rest of your setup? You should join NTEC for our cruise down to Austin this weekend...some EF2.5 pump vs. E85 "testing & comparing" would be fun

Kracka, you were able to match/exceed his numbers on pump where he used E85. His pump numbers are way lower than yours. It seems the major differences in mods are ported manifolds (intake and exhaust) as well as throttle body. Do these few parts really make that big of a difference?

I realize different cars, different days, and different parts, but his tq on pump gas is about 50 ft/lbs under yours (on the same dyno). I'm only wondering because I've got a 2.5 coming in soon and will have a similar setup to yours, minus the ported intake manifold and throttle body. Just trying to determine what this turbo is capable of and what I might expect after Hollywood tunes it on pump.

If I'm missing something please edumicate me.

Yes, the manifolds and throttle body definitely allow my airflow, I highly recommend them for a well-rounded setup. People always ask how my car is able to make more power with a similar setup; my answer is, "Attention to details." I have picked my exact combination of parts very carefully, and don't hesitate to get rid of the ones that I'm not satisfied with. For example, exhaust alone, I've had three different aftermarket catbacks and five different testpipes.

I figured as much. I was just a little surprised at the difference in tq. Drew at MAP downplayed the intake manifold porting and throttle body a little when I was talking to him about my build. Either way I'm looking forward to getting the new turbo and exhaust manifold in. Thanks.

I was wondering how much more I would get from where I am now with an exhaust manifold?.

I've tested three aftermarket manifolds for my X:
-PPI Extreme ported
-MAP short-runner
-MAP ported

The MAP ported unit is definitely the one to get for reliability, heat management, and the most torque with minimal loss in torque vs. the short-runner. The PPI ported was kind of a dud like most mildly ported manifolds...but it still showed decent gains. In my experience though, MAP's porting is second to none.

Stock turbo - stock manifolds vs. ported IM/EM/TB
-Mil.Spec ported IM
-PPI Extreme ported EM
-Mil.Spec 64mm ported TB

MAP EF2 - exhaust manifolds comparisons
-blue: PPI Extreme ported
-red: MAP short-runner tubular
-green: MAP ported
