yup, you don't burn the .iso to a cd, an iso is an image of a cd, so you have to burn it correctly.

I use this: http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm because it's dirt simple for ISOs (you install the software, then right mouse click on the .iso file and say send to ISO recorder).

I'd assume it has a way to burn an ISO CD image to a cd, so sure. If you run into issues with it working, you might try my way. CDs are cheap

you must use CD editing software. you cannot just copy it to the CD. my software states burn image to CD. it will ask for and ISO file to put it on a CD. if it doesnt ask for the location of the ISO file you are probablly not doing it right.

friggin awesome!!!!!!!

had a problem at first because i was burning the .iso through Nero... i tried a last ditch effort with the program posted above and it worked like a charm.

put the cd in, asked if i wanted to update, pressed yes, waited 3 minutes, ejected the cd, put in dvd, drove around the block, W00T!

now im not quite so disappointed with the SSS package. now if only i could get dvd/mp3 to work

Hmm I tried doing this for the UM version and it's not working. Just keeps saying "checking disk" then it disappears, no menu pops up. Anyone care to write a step by step instruction to do this for the UM version?

What version do you have (hold set+navi, touch versions info), specifically the Application Version. Which ISO image did you try? There were a couple posted, but only the latest ones work.
