Backup Cam installed...NO/MISSING Parking Guidelines???

Anyone else have this happen? I have the camera installed, but there's not parking lines. The setup screen has adjustments for the lines but they aren't there/don't show on the screen. Any ideas guys? Or is this normal? I've searched for the 1-2 other threads where people have the camera installed and they don't seem to have lines either...help???

Are running a back-up cam through the OEM Nav?

The 2008 Lancer OEM nav does not show the lines when a back-up camera is hooked up. The 2007 and 2008 Outlander OEM nav does have the lines when a back-up camera is hooked up. I have no idea why but its true.

I think you would have to use the Outlander OEM nav to get the lines.

Sounds like a software thing, no hardware. Anyone go to mitsu and see if then have an update of sorts for lancer/evo back up cams?

Thats correct. At least for 2007 outlanders and 2008 lancers.

outlander and lancer have the same nav
They do not.
Don't get me wrong, they are both backwords compatable but the have differnt model numbers in the parts system data base. Maybe its a model year thing? But this is what I found when I bought and moded my lancer and my wifes outlander.

It showed up in the parts system data base like this:

2007 outlander replacment nav part #1234XXXX
2007 outlander dealer installed nav part #5678XXXX

2008 lancer replacment nav part #ABCDXXXX
2008 lancer dealer installed nav part #EFGHXXXX

And these number were for the nav only, no bezel, no kit, etc.
