Have the non-sss package and was given a Sierus radio for X-mas.

Will the SSS antena work if I just wire it through the Aux input of the OEM head?

I thought that non-SSS cars didn't have the antenna, which is built into the antenna base. If you go to buy a vortex generator they ask if you have SSS because the fitment is different.

That is correct, NON SSS cars did not come from the factory with a sirius antenna. (95% sure - as my car has sss).

I think you are right about the non-sss having a different antenna...I was wondering if I could replace the one I have with an SSS one instead of using the antena supplied with the radio (requires me mount an additional antenna outside the car).

I'd have to think the stock antenna (sirius) would be quite expensive, and tough to install. Not worth the trouble if you ask me. Your antenna that comes with your sirius receiver will be pretty small, and I have mounted many of them inside the car. Not sure if it will work on the Evo (I have sss on mine). But at least try it up on the dashboard before putting it outside.
