how is the fit around the edges? it looks like it's not flush but also there is flash on ur camera so maybe it's not that noticeable?

i have the z120 and there is a little but of a gap, but that flash is WAY over exaggerating it. It is not noticeable in the car, and I get numerous compliments on how good it looks. I have even gotten maybe 5 or 6 people at the last car show i was in asking if it came with the car like that.

Just saw this. Wow - the metra kit really IS asstastic. The Scosche looks a lot like the JDM, but the fitment on that JDM just looks a hair better. If only it wasn't so much $$..

Might be those white clip things you slide the trim into...you may have missed one and it could be rattling in the mount point. This happened to me.

Yah no rattles from mind. Make sure your stereo brackets are tight to the car and to the HU.

ehhh Scosche is deff better than metra but its deff not even close to JDM. Some one posted their JDM for sale on evoX not to long ago.

Yes. Every time I hit solid bump I can hear a crashing noise above the deck and it's not from the radio. It's a little annoying. Didn't have this problem with the Scosche kit. Also sucks that the jdm kit has the larger than din opening. There simply isn't a perfect kit for these cars.

Is there any chance it is not the kit itself but something attached to the back of the radio? I ask because I have the "must be moving to watch video" relay hack on my HU and that means there is a large heavy part at the end of some wire that I didn't secure to anything. As such it was a risk that it might rattle against something. Anything like that possible with yours? And maybe it was sitting differently when you installed the Metra vs the Scosche kit?

Did you get the right jdm kit? They have two, one for the larger stock navi and one for regular (like mine).

the JDM OEM kit looks great...scosche kit is a good alternative (this is what i have...couldn't justify spending $250+ for this kit...)

but for $40 bux shipped...can't really go wrong...just stay away from the metra kit o_O

JDM does look so much better.

As for the glare thing. They have a anti-glare screen protector for the ipad. It's 10" so you can cut it to fit your screen. But from what I've seen it really helps the glare. Better than making a little "hood" from plastic sticking out over the top.
