So I finally replaced that POS metra kit and put the JDM one in. Gotta say, well worth the extra $. Do any of you guys get a wicked bad glare during the day? Any idea how I can better shield the screen from the sun? Maybe some kind of anti glare sticker?

Thanks bro. I just sent a email to three Metra employees telling them my thoughts on their kit. I believe what is happening is their kit does not account for the weight of any aftermarket stereo. The plastic brackets that come with the kit pull the dash kit down and back which causes the top to bow. If they add some ribs up top to help keep the structure from bending they might be onto something. I will let you guys know if they respond.

I'll be selling the metra if anyone wants!! 15 bucks

 

Hey Man Do you know if it comes with bracket for a single din or if I can just use the one from the metra kit?

I have a single-din eclipse deck that I will not be getting rid of. I might just try to find one of the factory double dins that come with the stock optional rockford kit with the logo on the lower right side of the bezel.

Also, park outside of a cito expresso. That adds bling factor too.

 

The JDM kit doesn't have any mounting hardware with it, you will need to use the stock brackets.
