Component Speaker Suggestions
I know this is a matter of taste, but I'm having a hard time finding a place to start. I'm replacing my entire GSR non RF system. New Alpine CDA 117 deck, PP A404 Amp pushing what I hope to be a 6.5 component system up front and 6.5 coaxials in the rear. Dynamat everything. Apparently I can run it to 5 channels so I might to a small sub or tube in the tunk.
I'm look for components up front - I'm looking for clarity over volume in the $150-$250 price range. I really don't want to have to do to much to make them fit. Adding a spacer is fine, but I obviously don't want to cut or bend the door panel.
Ideas/suggestions? I've gone to Crutchfield, but I'm trying to see if there are other good options out there.

I was torn between the JL C5 series and the Focal Polyglass line.
I ultimately went with the C5s components up front and coaxials in the rear.
You can try the JL c3 to stay in your price range. I thought they sounded pretty good for the price.

Which speakers have you heard in person that you like the way they sound? You have to start there to be completely honest. Reason I say that is because something that sounds good to me, may sound horrible to you.
CDTs are another brand that's supposed to be really good and they're reasonably priced.. but I've never heard them myself, so I can't really give an honest opinion.
Good luck w/whatever you decide on, and be sure to let us know if they sound decent!
How they sound??
They sound good for my tastes, clear and crisp, price was not bad either. I should mention that I have an Alpine PXE-H660 cleaning up the output from the head-unit and creating the sound fields within the car. It helps too.

I'll do a new thread later of all I got done, been meaning to share but I keep putting it off. As soon I take some pictures first...

I personally like CDT Audio. Some of the best sounding components to me.

Thanks for the info guys.
Should have been a bit more specific about fitment. The X appears to have a relatively shallow mounting depth and some of the magnets and baskets on a nicer set of components are huge.

Can't go wrong with those CDT Audio Neodymium magnets I posted. Those are shallow mount, and hit better than most higher end component sets. (I had these in my VIII front doors. I loved them so much)
I'm running these:
