AVH-P4300DVD + Scosche dash kit = all I need?

I have an 08 with the RF 6disc changer. If I get the AVH-P4300DVD and the Scosche dash kit, will everything work fine together? Is there anything extra that i need?

Not 100% sure, but I think if you have the factory RF stereo (or RF navi) installed, you'll also need to purchase the Metra MITO-02 to interface between your new Pioneer and the existing factory RF amplifier (though you might be able to skip this if you're buying a new amp, and running new wires).

Might also need to buy either the PAC SWI-PS (for Pioneer) or Metra Axxess ASWC adapter if you want your steering wheel audio controls to work with your new stereo. Both seem like a pain to install, but the Axxess is supposed to have less lag than the PAC.

Good luck!

+1 for the Metra Axxess ASWC. Much better product than the PAC SWI in my opinion. I had the PAC on my S2000 and it was laggy and a pain to program. The Metra unit auto-detected my car and head unit so no programming was required. No lag at all in the controls either.

You definitely need the wiring harness.

Id suggest doing a forum search on the dash kits. The Scosche kit is "decent" from what I read on the forums (and in my experience as well). Avoid the Metra dash kit. There are some expensive JDM units that are better fit/finish but they are 4 to 5 times more expensive.

i had the exact opposite experience. i originally bought the Metra ASWC and it was pure garbage. couldn't get it to work even after trying everything which includes going to 2 professional shops and sending it to Metra for an update. also, Metra customer support is truly the worst i have ever seen, every person i talked to was complete ***. i now have the PAC unit and it is perfect. install was 5 minutes and it is a much better unit.

I have an 08, so I dont have stereo controls on my steering wheel. So all I should need is the Metra MITO-02 right? What about the 6dis thing? Is that just part of the stock deck? Or Will I still be able to use 6 disc?

I'm not sure if you'll also need a regular stereo wiring harness (to avoid splicing into the factory wiring) or if the MITO-02 already covers that.. kinda hard to tell from the instructions.

Doubt you'll be able to use your factory CD changer with the Pioneer.. best bet would be to buy a compatible Pioneer changer, and maybe try to squeeze it into where the original was.

he won't need another harness, the MITO-02 already covers that since it plugs into your OEM harness on one side. as for the changes, the 6 disc changer is sitting in the OEM headunit so no, you will not be able to use that one.
