SOB help please if u can.

I just finished wiring up my new deck and the Metra MITO-02. I turned on the car and to my surprise everything worked!. The bass was pretty low so i removed the deck from the dash and proceeded to turn the little screw inthe back of the MITO-02. It seemed to just turn and turn and turn............ So I put the deck back into the dash, and now..... I have nothing. The deck wont even turn on. I didnt mess with anything besides that damn screw.

Is it possible that I somehow messed up the MITO-02 by turning the screw too much? I dont know what else the problem can be.

)ust a guess, but that screw probably adjusted the signal gain.. maybe try cranking the screw the same amount, but in the reverse direction you were previously turning.

i tried that, and i have no idea how many rotations I made on that screw

But, that shouldnt stop the entire deck from powering up right?

i pulled out the deck and took off the butt connectors, I temporarily twisted the wires together just so I could make sure that they were all connecting. Still.... the unit isnt turning on.

Actually after reading a few other threads, I guess that screw is to adjust gain going to the sub channel.. so ya, I don't see why that would have any effect on the rest of the channels. Plus, I must've missed that you said your deck wasn't even powering on at all.. I would think it should power on, even with the MITO completely removed.

You check to see if you blew the fuses for the radio? There should be one somewhere on the car itself (might be in the fuse box in the engine bay), and there might be another on the new radio (usually on the back of the unit, but sometimes inline on the power wire).

it seems that it actually must have been the screws. I turned them counterclockwise several times and and voila, it turned on. I played with it and turned it back clockwise quite a few times and again, the unit didnt turn on. I dont know what the deal is with that.

On to the last problem. The deck is a Pioneer AVH-P4300DVD . I thought I could just use the stock mounting brackets for my 6disd r/f radio, but I cant get them to match up. If i use lower holes the deck is too low to fit in the space with the Sosche kit, and if i use he higher holes, it's too high. What am i missing? Am i suppose to get some other brackets or something?

Yes, the part number is 91516. Here's a link to a post with the page from the parts system. It's about $35 and can be ordered from your local dealer.
