Anyways I ended up making some adapters out of mdf and copied the alpine design. Screwed the adapter in the 3 stock holes and used nut, nylon washer, and bolts to secure it. Tried to eliminate metal on metal contact due to rust. I seen how when people screw the nails direct to the metal over time it rusts due to rain water hitting it.

The end result is pretty damn good. No rattles what so ever.
