I seem to have two recurring MMCS issues and I am curious if they are normal and how folks have dealt with them in the past.

#1 - When playing MP3's off a USB thumb drive. I select the next song either by the touch screen or by the steering wheel controls (its the same either way) and it takes up to a minute to change a song... I dont listen to the radio and I dont listen to the internal hard drive all that much, so this usb issue is beginning to **** me off. (happens with 2g, 4g and 8g usb drives)

#2 - the MMCS will randomly forget my phonebook... its easy enough to import the phone book again, but wtf?

Anyone else experience this and/or have any workarounds or solutions?

This is going to sound really odd but it worked for me. I use a old school 1G First Generation iPod Shuffle. You can get one for like $12.00 on Ebay. Hope this helps.
