Rockford Fosgate Conversion easy on a Final Edition?

I see a plug coming out of the bottom floor on the driver seat and I see a plug in the trunk hanging.

1. Does all GSR comes prewired? Do I just buy the OEM AMP, Sub, 4 speakers, and 2 tweeters to make the conversion?

How much does the RF setup cost? I just got a pioneer digital 5 channel amp, Polk audio mids and highs, jL 10w6, pioneer navigation with Bluetooth, backup camera, amp kit, and dynamat for the entire car for 1700. Sounds unbelievably good for that budget range.

Ya i wouldn't spend any money on the stock RF stuff. Dollar for Dollar, Aftermarket gear is gonna give you the best sound and way more options than the stock stuff.

You can buy the whole system but when you are going to install the subwoofer in the trunk you need the bracket. They sell you the subwoofer (ebay) but not with the bracket and that is very difficult to find.

Is the non-navigation year 2014+ setup a standard double din? Or do I need to get some kind of aftermarket bezel?

I'm wondering basically the same thing. My FE didn't come with the navigation and I want to add it but I also want a decent sound system. The dealer said they can add the RF package to it but that it wouldn't be just like as if it came with it. If that is the case, I'd prefer to build my own sound system as it will sound better. I just need to see what the back of the NAV unit is like. Is there a remote line, pre-amp line? Also, if I do add the NAV unit, can you add the back up camera as well and does it play movies like the one that came in my Outlander Sport?

Time to resurrect this.

I'm interested in adding the RF sub to my 2015 FE (non-Nav). I see the cable for the sub in the trunk, and there's a small black 4 pin connector under the driver's seat.

Is it as simple as getting the amp + sub/bracket and connecting things up? Or is the preamp out from the stock head unit not there? Not sure what to expect. Anyone have some pictures of what the RF amp connections look like under the seat?

(And for all those saying go aftermarket -- I agree that's the way to go for best SQ. I have a >$2K setup in my other car that sounds great. But in this case, I'm actually not that unhappy with the stock system in the Evo, and I'd rather spend most of my $ on performance mods vs. audio. However, if I can add the RF sub pretty easily (assuming used parts), to me that strikes a good balance of an inexpensive/small-footprint bass upgrade vs. aftermarket sub/amp setup.)

I have the rf system and the amp is run via a 20 pin wire harness connected to the headunit. Only problem your going to have is getting your hands on the oem rockford amp. Its technically a digital sound processor with 8 channels that sound is tuned to each specific channel. Unless u can find one in a junkyard or someone who swapped there whole rf setup to aftermarket the dsp is gonna be crazy hard to locate or ridiculously expensive.
