Has anyone installed a backup camera with the 5.1.1 saygav android headunit? For some reason the camera isn't working. I think the actual camera might be broken. I have the trigger wire and the power at the camera spliced the power for the reverse light. I have the trigger wire at the headunit spliced into the the orange wire on the main harness (spot 2 named Back according to saygav). The yellow rca is plugged into FCAM-IN. So I'm not sure if my problem is that I don't have a reverse camera rca plug or if it actually is the camera. Any thoughts?

Unfortunately I dont have the OEM camera so it wont work for me. I did contact SYGAV and they helped me out but its still not working so I think i recevied a defective camera. I ordered a new one. Im going to leave the wiring there to and plug in the new camera once I get it to see if it is the camera thats bad or the wiring.

 

Ok so an update on this. I got the camera to work. I ended up using the new rca cable from the new camera I got and this time didnt use the trigger wires. Worked on the first time. So now I have a working camera.

 

how bad was to pull the wire from back of the car to radio ??
