Blitz Throttle Controller

It was mentioned once or twice on this forum, but in the latest D sport magazine they reviewed the Blitz Throttle Controller on an Evo X. I guess it's a simple installation with plug and play capabilities on the ECU. The only thing you have to wire yourself is the power and ground. It looks like there are four different modes to choose from depending on your driving style. The bottom line is that it doesn't increase hp, but it does vastly improve throttle response. Is anyone planning on trying this thing out? I wonder how well it works with flashes or chips?

It sacrifices resolution for the illusion of response.

yeah ...I live in trinidad in the caribbean and we are allowed to import direct JDM cars. Its the premium edition which is essentially the MR edition in the US but the JDM's have the option of either the 5fwd gear box or the TC SST. I chose the 5 fwd. I should be clearing the car off the port next week so i will let you guys know how the throttle controller

I got something similar for my wife's 535. With throttle by wire, you can adjust throttle response electronically. She really likes it, and she never notices anything.
It basically gives you more response right off the line, especially at part throttle. With the Evo lagging off the line at part throttle due to no boost being made, it may make a big improvement. The only drawback I can think of, is all the feedback I've read indicates that it gives you a little worse fuel economy

All it does is amp up the output signal from the throttle position sensor (gas pedal) so the ecu thinks you pushed the pedal father than you did.....

Personally going from an VIII Directly to an X I did not notice the DBW affecting response.

Thanks for the feedback man, been hearing a lot of buzz about these devices of late. Nice to get a real opinion from someone that has tried it out.

I didn't notice it either to be quite honest, but this article in the magazine made me wonder.
