where do you live?

depending on location I'd get a custom tune, 750 will get you a custom tune, I know my custom tune from Dyno4mance in Georgia was 750. Most people who tune with Ecutec will match the 750 price as well.

I live in Chicago, what does a custom tune consist of? what numbers are you getting? What's your opinion on getting the flash from a company like AMS

you live in Chicago!.... dude you are right down the street from AMS, go get a custom tune from them and not a mail in flash.

A custom tune consists of strapping your car to the dyno and tuning your car to what mods you currently have, you can expect 50-60 wheel horse power and with a company like AMS they will get it right.

John

seach my user name to find the post i made about my custom tune.

From what I hear is that you're going to have to get your car tuned again.

When I had my VIII I was going to put everything in the car and then get it tuned. Saves me money but I don't know how the car would have reacted to the drive without being tuned.....maybe like a regular ol 4 banger.

When I was looking for a tune, most of the performance shops, AMS, Perrin or Works offer a custom tune to whatever parts you have bought at a set price. I know flashes were around $500 something including shipping and handling.

wait for ecuflash to be ready... then get a tune without the crappy ecutek licensing restrictions. I'd bet AMS offers them when it's available.

A flash will just show up as dead battery when Mitshibishi look it up on their computer right?
