Access Port

I am scheduled to head to Surge Line tuning in Portland OR. in a couple of weeks. I will be getting an access port with 5 maps.

My question is does anyone have an access port or did most people go with just a reflash??? And if anyone has an access port what type of gains did you see from the tune and how well does the AP work?

I am really looking forward to getting a custom tune with several different maps I can choose from.

i have had 2 STI's, WRX, and Legacy 2.5GTL before my X and I LOVE the Cobb AP, esp the new version, its pretty much out for the X now, HPSpeed is going to hook me up with it when they do all my work in the next few weeks so:

+1 for Cobb AP!!

I would wait and see how it turns out for the X. All the Subie guys I know love it, but I know several people that had them for the VIII/IX and were very unhappy with them.

I am thinking the same thing. I just recently found out recently that the VIII/IX AP was a disappointment. I would rather wait and see how it is received. I learned from owning my STi, its pointless to buy an AP brand new. You're better off buying it used. That is exactly what I'm doing.

The Cobb shop in Plano,TX said it will be in my hand on Friday Or Saturday morning. They already tuned a local dealships car for them with an extra they had!
Remember no local tunners and it is the only option I dont mind spending the money on. Like stated above I can always sell it again

Only people that have them are cobb and possibly a very select few like HBspeed...

Let me get something straight here. An AP costs $695 by itself and a professional tune is an additional cost on top of that?

Does it come with a sticker?
