Just use comon sense. If you flash your car and the tranny blows up or engine or clutch, yeah you are most likely the culprit. If the radio quits working you might get it replace the Mitsu. Just dont beat up your car, and cry once you have to pay to fix it. If you brake it, pay for it. I bet if people did this more often, the ones with real issues that were not cause by the owner would not get dogged by Mitsu.

when we will the AccessTUNER Race software be avaliable? i check the website and only saw it for the 8/9 evo. would love to see this software. will it be free for the x owners as it is for others?
I installed mine about an hour ago. The car feels a tad faster low/mid, but when i got on the highway and was able to really push the car, it kept pulling top-end. It almost feels like my old STi... exhaust and I/C piping should do it.
Yes, the AccessTuner Race will be free of charge to Evo X AP owners.

We're currently waiting for the AccessTuner Pro table set to mostly stabilize before releasing the AccessTuner Race. We're still adding tables and making small improvements almost every day. Getting close.

Just out of curiosity, what was wrong with the old AP for the 8/9? Did it not control as many parameters as ecutek? Did the software not work correctly and brick people's ecus... what was the issue? The new one seems pretty nice, as it is supposed to offer the same parameter control as ecutek and doesn't affect the flash count, and for an OTS map, it doesn't require mailing in your ecu so I'm honestly considering it. Any feedback would be great, thanks.

Hey Rob is the AccessTuner Race only going to be available for free for a limited time as a promotion for the launch/release of the Evo X aP or will it be an ongoing offer? I'm definitely getting an AP but I'm gonna use my tax return to get it (which i should have in January)
Thanks,
Rob

To my knowledge, there is nothing wrong with the Evo 8/9 AP. The AP's protection made it impossible to kill/brick the Evo 8/9 ECUs as well. We have great map coverage along with the same features as the Evo X AP. More than enough to well tune highly modified cars. In fact we have personally tuned several big turbo race Evo 8/9s reliably to well over 400whp on our "heart breaker" mustang dyno.
Honestly, I believe the problem was, we were late to the Evo 8/9 party.
For the Evo X, we're adding more and more support every day. In fact we currently have the best map support/access in the Evo X market and we're adding more. I think you will be happy with not only the power, but the supporting features. Ability to be custom tuned by a ProTuner, 0-60 and 1/4 mile times, ability to read and reset codes in multiple modules (SST, ABS, AYC, etc.), watch live data, log engine parameters for later analysis or later tuning, etc. All with the ability to be updated though the web adding new features and/or updated maps. The AP offers far more than just a flash.
