I'm still fairly certain you cannot access the map that the Accesport downloads from the car during installation. It doesn't show up in the file manager. Maybe you could see it during live tuning. I'm not sure if that feature is available yet though.

It makes sense now that I think about it. The map saved during installation is the one that gets reinstalled when the Accesport is uninstalled from the car. If you were able to change that map, the car would then have a tune map installed when the Accessport is divorced. Cobb wants your car to be exactly how it was pre AP when you uninstall. Otherwise you could tune many cars with one AP.

+1

I believe there's no way to mess with the OEM maps.

hi Rob

can you kindly answer my question directly as to whether there is a way for me to download my stock map and look at its tables using AccessTNER Race (one i have on my car now ) before ever do any reflashes with AP or AccessTUNER Race?

I'm sorry, I thought I had answered your question. Lots of questions to answer. There is no way for you to access the map save on install.

Thanks,

FYI if you Flash it and take it to the dealer for service they will flash it and you will lose your AP.
Uninstall before service.
I purchased my EVO in august and already there are 3 new downloads out. UGH
Am I right on this?

If you uninstall before you go to the dealer they cannot flash over the AP's flash given the ECU has a stock flash. Reinstall when you get the car back.

If the AP is installed the dealer will not be able to access your ROM to flash.

Don't know if this has been mentioned, but 1.3.2.0 update with software dyno has been released. No info on the website to see if there are any other changes though.

Good lookin out man! For those that don't know, you have to check "Look for Beta Firmware" in the AccessPort Updater app, or else it'll just say you have the latest firmware. Can't wait to play with it this weekend!

has anyone had a baseline run done and then with the AP stage 1 run ? I am curious to know what sort of HP increase there is.

Yes, Methodical,
look in the dyno results section. As an added testimonail from a butt dyno, I just flashed the 93 oct Stg I map onto my GSR, and there is a BIG difference. Pulls like a mother up to the redline and no longer sounds like it is gargling on fuel over 5000 rpm. Now it runs the way it was intended to. At some point I'll go to Cobb SLC and get a custom tune, but for now I am in happytown!

Also super easy to do and took about five minutes total to save my old map and flash on the new. Cobb AP FTW!

I will say the contrary. Yes there's a difference. But BIG is not it. The power delivery is better, and overall it does make a difference.

Well Papi, beauty is in the butt dyno of the beholder I suppose... However instead of fighting its way from 5000-7500 it now rips on through and its time to upshift. So yes, I would say it is a big difference. Probably around 40 HP, but NO I don't have dyno #s.

It feels pretty consistent with the dynosheet posted by JuniorAWD.

I saw your post "I guess I was expecting more..." and was kinda worried, but having tried it, I am happy for an off the shelf map. Will I get a custom tune at some point to squeek out some more? Sure will. But for now I have a car that pulls hard to redline and doesn't gurgle under WOT.

I saw you tried the Perrin map too, how do they compare on your butt dyno?

Perrin has a way nicer torque band. I think HP is the same, but the torque is there with the perrin.

Perrin's site says 40-50 whp.. on the dyno pic however it shows that to be flywheel hp.

Question also.. if I were to buy from Perrin's website, does it come with their maps as well as the base maps from Cobb?
