I think it took him 3.5hrs to tune it.
So, we’re all curious about this new dyno - do you know what the baseline was?

Quick question... how would the car react to the WGA adjust-mod with the Stage 1 tune? Would it eitherway set itself to the target upper RPM boost or would the wastegate override the AP and go to ~20 psi over the 17 or w/e it is.

You have to remove it, or dont install AP. The base map is for a stock car, if you want to keep the WGA get dyno tune. Or get HB Speed, or AL to maybe do a flash for you, if they have done a car with the same mod.

Hey all,

So I have a AGP CAI and the Cobb AP(pending install). And I need some advice.

I live in Nebraska and there is no place to go get a custom tune for my setup for the AP. So here is my question.

Should I go back to the stock intake and then use the AP with STG1 map or should I get a mail tune for the AGP CAI and AP? I am thinking long term here because i would like to get the Cobb exhaust down the road and then I would have to get yet another mail tune. Would I be better off going to stock and getting the Cobb intake/exhaust and then the STG2 when it comes out or stick with what i have and get custom mail tunes?

I am looking for the least expensive option if possible.

any input is appreciated.

Currently we are working to see if there is an easy solution to tuning several different intakes for the Evo X. Until we have reached a conclusion, running the stock intake with the AP will be the safest solution. I cannot say what the conclusion will be other than we will try to have tunes for the more popular intakes/fiters.

Running our intake causes little to no change in the fueling, so it is safe to run with and without the AP. It's up to you if you want to pickup our full hardware. I can say will 100% certainly, our hardware is some of, if not, the best engineered out there. Hours upon hours of testing went into our intake alone to make sure the fueling didn't change.

For now, go with the stock intake, I know you will like the Stg I programming

Thanks,
Rob

I think this is pretty clear, self explanatory and unambiguous:

Description: Stage1 93 GSRv100 - Intended for an otherwise stock
2008 Mitsubishi EVO X GSR vehicle with a stock or cat-back exhaust,
STOCK INTAKE SYSTEM, and STOCK INTAKE FILTER ONLY. 93 or 94 octane
fuel. Boost Targets: ~24psi peak boost pressure tapering down to
~17psi by the 7500 RPM redline, +/- 0.8psi.

Hardware Requirements: Otherwise stock vehicle with a STOCK INTAKE
SYSTEM and STOCK INTAKE FILTER ONLY. The addition of any other
hardware may make the vehicle perform poorly.

Fuel Requirement: 93 or 94 octane. If detonation is present, you
should switch to a calibration developed for a lesser quality fuel,
Stage1 91 GSRv100 or Stage1 ACN91 GSRv100.

Reset my tuning date for this Thursday Afternoon sometime. I sent a PM to Rob about AEM intake. I took mine off the car for the tune, but I could bring it with if they want to do a full pulls with it. I personally want to leave it off until I get a turbo, but if it would help them get some maps out for everyone else Im easy. It only takes about 5 mins to put it on anyway. Its up to them.

Hey Sandman,

That would be great, if they would do that... and thanks to you for offering... however, it looks like you have quite a few other mods... wouldn't that affect the map requirements and therefore make it unsuitable for those of us who have ONLY the AEM intake for now?

Thats true. However you would be a great candidate for a stage 3 (+) map.

Basically a full bolt on ***** to the wall tune with the stock turbo and fuel system.
