I dyno'd my X MR with the AEM intake on it and with the Cobb AP Stage 1 (AZ/NV/CA) 91 octane file installed. The AFR stayed at 11.5 all the way through the RPM range. If I can find a scanner...

Hmm... is this just because of the ACN Map...or is it because the AEM isn't nearly as bad as some people say?

The ACN map is targeted to run a lower AFR than the base stage I map for safety.

Thanks,
Rob

Is there any new information relative to whether the HKS drop in is safe or not on the 93 octane stage 1 map?

Until I can test with the HKS filter I have to lean on the safe side and say no, we do not currently suggest you run the HKS drop-in filter with the AP.

As soon as I have tested the filter, I will post the data collected.

Thanks,
Rob

if you need someone with an AEM box & UR TBE (o2 housing, ceramic HFC, exhaust) to test a "stage 2" with, let me know. I'm about 20 minutes from the plano shop.

Yes the AccessTuner supports JDM, EDM, and Australian market vehicles. If the AP does not recognize the particular ROM, it will download it allowing the tuner or customer to send it to us. We'll add support for that vehicle and issue and AccessPort and AccessTuner updates.

Thanks,
Rob

Rob,

Just a quick question. I live in Plano, TX where you opened up your new shop. Are the fellows over here capable of tuning my X w/ the Accessport? Might be a stupid question but I figured I would ask since I haven't visited the new shop yet. If so, I will definitely pick up the Accessport.

Does this mean that I can run this map with my AEM? I've submitted a map request with Surgeline, sent an email request to HB Speed, and even went to the only Accesstuner anywhere near me to try and get this taken care of, because I'd rather not take off my AEM, but, haven't gotten a response from either Surgeline or HB, and when I went to the Accesstuner, apparently, he didn't have the newest software and couldn't do my car... If I have to pay someone for a map, I guess that's life, but, I just wish I could get one...

Installed the 93oct map on my stock GSR yesterday and wasn't that happy. Today I reset the ECU which I didn't do yesterday and noticed a very good gain in mid RPM. I only have about 900 miles so I haven't taken it above 5k yet so not sure what it's like up there - very satisfied now by the butt dyno.

Now I'm just waiting for stage 2 let's go Cobb

Hey you got one too huh, yeah i am the same way. Maybe i'll reset the ECU see what that does, it mean it did increase the HP, but i don't know about 300 WHP, my stage 2 SRT4 felt stronger than this.

Not a dumb question at all. We have a well qualified tuner in Plano who we are artificially bringing up his experience level to Christian's, Tim's, and John's level (The tuners who teach tuners how to tune ). That being said, a good time to get tuned would be the first week in January. Give Chris a call at the Plano location letting him know you would like to set up a tune while Christian is in town.
