COBB AccessTUNER Pro for 2008 EVO X (merge)
-X
Hello,
I have a 2009 SST Evo X (GCC Spec - LHD JDM).
The car has the following mods:
-HKS Legamax
-HKS center pipe
-HKS SSQV
the following mods will be installed next month
-HKS racing suction kit
-HKS IC pipes
I have to go with HKS suction kit since HKS SSQV wont fit any other intake as I've been told!
I've got a COBB AP, not yet installed as it refused to (device does not support GCC). We've downloaded the stock maps and sent to cobb for support.
In their website they mentioned that the stage 1 maps will not work well with any intake other than stock, anyone here installed an AP with an aftermarket intake? any performance issues?
If COBB modified the maps to fit my GCC spec maps, how am I going to get new maps since the maps in their website will not work on my evo? custom maps?

Is the access port for the EVO X the same as the one for the 08 STI? In other words, if I sell the EVO X access port (after removing it's maps from my car) will it reflash an STI?
Is the hardware universal?

Did you mean to say that your results are the same as mine? If so, what are you running? Stock? Intake or some kind? More?
Additionally I've run the 91-ACN map with the AEM intake. It works just fine with that intake - never gets leaner than 11.5 in my dyno testing.
All of the above maps and combinations will show intermittent 0.35/.70 knock values - generally in the start of boost range while hte booist is climbing and peaking - in the 2500-3500 RPM range. Sounds like exactly what you're seeing.
HTH!
I've run both the 91-ACN stage 1 map and the 93 octane stage 1 map with the AP on my all stock MR.

Did they make a V1 for the Evo? Mine was a V2. Have they changed it so you can datalog even if it is on a locked custom map?
You can datalog with the AP unit itself but if you have a locked custom tuned map then you can't with the ATR software.
