^I really thought about that lol. Ive been looking for a business investment, so I could get some tax write offs lol.

 

People are more practical these days. Not everybody wants to tune their own car or even bother to try it out. If someone with no tuning history will obviously pay the extra $200 for a more practical unit with all the gauge displays, which require them no purchase of wideband, boost and etc. So saves them the $200+ of other devices that come in the AP and free base maps and tuning software. Yea AP wasnt so popular to the evo 8/9, but evo x is reacting much better to AP. And never said you needed a cd driver, its just pointless buying a laptop that proves no use cept for internet and your tuning.

I believe the ratio of ppl that are with tuning are much bigger vs ppl that know it like nothing else on these forums.

Not everybody tunes their own cars
As not everybody custom fabs their own performance parts.

 

Al seems to be loving the ap and hes one of the top tuners.

Basically the Ap is ecu flash but gives you the option of switching maps as much as you want. Idk about some of you but i plan to keep my X forever and theres a flashing limit just like the 8 and 9. I understand that you have alot of flashing until you actually hit the limit (i never met anyone who hit it yet) but someday youll max out your ecu.

Yes ecu flash is much cheaper then the ap but i really dont see to much progress with ecuflash unlike the ap.

the only thing thats stopping me from ordering the ap is the fact that someday ecuflash will be really advance and have lots of cool tricks like the evo 8 and 9 tephra mod and so on. But like I said how long will it take ecuflash for the x to catch up to the 8 and 9 where it will offer those same advanced tricks.

I dont want to buy the ap and get the ecuflash later because if i get the ap tunned then I might have to start all over with the ecuflash and get tunned again
