Ahh, I guess editing from within EVOSCAN corrupts the XML file somehow. If I start with a fresh Data.xml and make the edits manually, then it saves and works fine. I bet I missed that small fact somewhere in this thread.

Yeah, that's the same for everyone. If you want to edit the xml, you have to edit it in wordpad or something. Also, if you want to restore your previous data, grab the data.xml from the 2.6 beta update and put it into the install folder.

Ive been playing around with Evoscan and my datalogs miss patches ? do i need to change some settings or something. I also changed around Knock to 11-1, few other things that i got of this topic but my logs dont look right, showing 18* knock retard.
Could this be real? :S i have 3" catback and HKS panel filter on 98RON.

Acer Laptop: T7300 @ 2ghz with 2gig ram, XP with SP3.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't see 18 anywhere... I see 8, which is OK. Try to minimize this value. It is indeed the correct knock sum/count. I've gotten my own tune down to a max of 1-2 counts.

I'm getting about the same logging rate on an Evo 10 I got to play with today. It seems that EvoScan is way slower than the 180 values/sec that Hamish said he was getting. Kind of a bummer compared to my Evo 9 where I get 160 values/sec.

In looking at the WOT logs, I'd say that there is lots of room to improve the logging parameters (finding correct logging parameters and correct scalings).

I get about 5-6 samples in a full 3rd gear pull. Almost 1 sample for every 1000 rpm.

The adapter that Zeitronix sells however does.
I got the Keyspan adapter and it worked!!!!!

Thanks Bryan!
