I have heard the critial error I made was installing things like the TBE, FMIC, and intake after I got a baseflash and waiting to get the car retuned.. I think on of the gentlemen from Mach V chimed in another forum and said, the ECU can really learn your new mods unless you get tuned for them..so I will be wise..get all my factory flashes first..then throw on all the mods..then get tuned...second car..I have to be smarter this time around...but I will not be modding for some time... :-(

Oh so I'm assuming just putting upper and lower IC pipes and exhaust with a drop in wont hurt anything on the stock ECU ??? Just if you did it after a base flash I guess then that could hurt it because the AFR was higher than how they come stock spitting fuel out of the tailpipes...

it has less to do with mods and more to do with a crappy fuel relay that mitsubishi put in their cars.

this is where it is.
sorry for the long link.
http://www.google.com/imgres?um=1&hl...r:11,s:0,i:120

the relay fails to send more voltage to the pump and this causes the engine to not get enough fuel.

This happened to me when I only had an intake and a test pipe on my car. (no wideband so I didn't know it happened) ran it with the bad relay for maybe a week.

then the motor came apart a month or so later.

so basically check your relays and get a wideband. its worth it.

but to be on topic this could also cause the po30(1 2 3 or 4) code.
