Knock after shifting to next gear

While WOT pull from 2000 to 7500 all seems good. But after shifting to next gear there are always 4-5 knocks at the beginning of acceleration.

Is it normal?

Evo X 5MT EDM, +35 C. Turboback, stock IC, EVC 6 boost.

Knock counts? Or knock retard? Knock is not "normal" and should be prevented as much as possible... but most cars will experience a slight bit of retard here in there on bad gas, hot summers, etc. My setup was tuned very well, and I got some BP gas last night that registered a knock retard of .3 to .7 max which is considered very very minimal...

We need to know more details about your setup, boost, fuel used, etc.

Knockcount.
Boost 20 psi (overboost to 24 while shifting). (load 227 and 250 while overboost)
93 oct (euro 98)
Afr 11.2 - 11.3
Timing +1 degree over stock EDM timing.

It is shift knock from engine/tranny movement that the knock sensor picks up. I would not worry about it. The knock sensor is simply a ruggerized microphone and sometimes it picks up engine/movement noise as knock. This is very common. If you are going to retard timing everytime this happpened, then you will end up with negative timing.

I'm thinking the AMS "street" version of the front motor mount might be a good compromise to stiffen up the engine movement without getting excessive vibration. I've got the race version and it's a bit too much for daily driving but I got used to it. The engine flops around much less though and will improve shifting feel especially when near the limit around turns and movements that cause weight transfer.

I experience also this issue after I install a engine dumper in order to decrease the movement of the engine under on/off throttle conditions.

I get a knock signal after gear change in WOT.

I am thinking to lose the dumper and to install some ralliart engine mount bushing but there are very strong also.

Is there any way to prevent boost spike in-between shifts? This happens to both GSR and MRs.

when you datalog either match up the numbers to your map or try taking the car up to redline and shifting slowly and compare the timing numbers- see if the car is really pulling timing and where- because its probably just phantom knock
