Cobb AP: Fuel Economy Map

The real reason for the fuel ecconomy map is so that you can convince your wife the money spent on the AP will pay for itself.

If you really want to just improve gas mileage for highways, look up a local ECUFlash tuner.

For example, if 780 is an area code, you could look up....

Me.

A few changes, you'll still have a stock Evo except for some mileage improvements. That's cheap and quick to do. On the other hand, even stock Xs have major improvements on a reflash alone. A local tuner could do that as well!

Well, I called my dealership yesterday and made an appointment with them for the 26th of dec. for the reflash. I'll let you guys know how it goes. Sucks I couldn't do it yesterday.

It's just an increase by a couple of degrees of timing at "cruising" loads.

You could do the same thing with Cobb AccessTuner Race.

The Economy map sucks, IMO. I bought my AP from Perrin for their Stage 1 map and I get just as good if not better mpg's from it than the Econo.
