ASC Off Light under high load??
Yes, even if you max out the tables. You will still throw a code, there has to be another DTC you can disable to prevent this from happening. However, the code is not yet discovered or released. I can throw that code on the stock turbo if I boost to 30 psi.
There's got to be something the ASC gets information from, whether it be boost (load), torque or whatever, and when it sees too much of something, the ASC decides it needs to disable itself for protection.
Right but there are people running over 30psi on bigger turbos without problems, but then others are popping the ASC light at 29psi. So the question is, why and when does the ASC think it needs to disable itself?
I think it has to be load based because i get it randomly. It seems i get it a lot more in 4th/5th for sure, when going up a slight incline (I don't think I ever get it on an entrance ramp) or when doing anything from a low rpm where the turbo isn't spooled yet.
That's what I'm thinking also. The only time I've seen it is at full boost/peak torque in 3rd or 4th gear when doing datalog pulls.
Hi,
I had the sam problem when I was playing with Brisk Silver spark plugs. They were fine under partial load, but under WOT they always lit the ASC OFF. After I have taken them away, everything is fine.

It happens when you run 29/30 psi it is directly related to boost / load. Once loads start spiking to 300-310 area the ASC off will turn on.
Did anyone test if the light is turn offed (i.e. ASC is already off) does the light turn on?
Even if you max out the airflow/torque tables it will happen.

It does even with ASC completely diabled... you know that fool =p
