It is possible that the disconnect is that mitsu / us thought it was easier and "close enough" to call it a 3 bar sensor instead of a 3.288 bar sensor. If you are slowly feeding it pressure above 30 psi and its output is still changing its just a fact of the physical properties, naming convention aside.

regardless of what bar it is, the sensor will read 30psi when the ASC disables, BUT ALSO read upto 32/33psi..

this means the ASC isn't disabling because the sensor is at its limit...

That could very well be the case...

Ok, but my point is that the MAP sensor never really reads the 30 psi you are talking about. It is reading 47.5 PSI and you are subtracting MAP - AP to get 30 psi.

So my question is:

Does the ASC get MAP - AP or just the raw MAP value?

MAP = Manifold Absolute Pressure
AP = Atmospheric Pressure

Semi related FYI, when I unplugged the fuse for my dash with the car on, the dash stayed lit but the ASC went off until the car was restarted. I think this fuse may be mis-labeled though.

i have a ralliart and i did a evo x turbo swap and now i am running into this problem too. i have a scan tool and when the asc light came on i tried pulling the code and it pulled up as p1870 which is something to do with the transmission and to much tq. i had to play with the scanner for a couple min before i found the code it was really weird. i just ordered a grimmspeed 3 port bcs hoping that i can get retuned on it and fix the problem. i believe your evos have two boost control solenoids right?? i know our ralliarts only have one.

^Interesting on the single boost solenoid, didn't know that.

Your problem is more likely related to the SST rather than the 30psi issue us GSR's are seeing.

^I agree with that. Typically my first pull with the ASC on before it autodisables, it feels held back...then when it goes off the car feels way better.

If it shut itself off less obnoxiously then it'd be no big deal. I put this right up there with the 'icy roads' warning every day throughout the Winter. Ugh.

ECU send the raw ADC MAP value to the ASC

Did anyone test if the light is turn offed (i.e. ASC is already off) does the light turn on?

Even if you max out the airflow/torque tables it will happen.
Before all of my autocross runs I push and hold the button to shut everything off on my car. Every once in a while when I am getting super crazy with the car under heavy g's and load with left foot braking the car starts dinging a bell noise from the bezel. Anyone else ever experience this? I didn't read the whole thread or search so pardon me if this has been mentioned
