ASC Off Light under high load??

Is it common for the ASC Off screen to come on under full boost with an upgraded turbo? My light seems to come on every time. I noticed it in some of the other videos posted.

Any idea what causes this? Is there a way to stop it from happening?

Only happens to me when I go beyond 2 bars of boost which is around 29 psi.
Currently, I don't know of any remedy for this.

Mine is doing this after doing a full exhaust kit. It goes away after I restart the car. I like this not.

hrmmm

when i looked at the code that sends parameters to the combo meter I saw the MAP sensor being sent for something as well.

given the ASC off doesn't appear to be linked to torque and more linked to boost then maybe thats the solution...

why would the ASC need to know boost?any other reasons?

Since boost is almost directly related to load, maybe it's a feature to protect the ASC system from too much load which may damage it?

I dont have a boost gauge installed yet, so I will now have to get it installed to see whats happening. I prob need to get tuned, though AMS and other companies are saying with a full exhaust and FMIC kit nothing is needed. Im getting the 420 code now, and my 172 or w/e it was for lean is gone now. The VIII's were not like this grrrrrrr

SiC - I would have thought torque would be a MUCH better way of doing that thou?

I never saw it when I was tuned at 28psi. It happened consistently when we bumped boost up to 29psi. I thought I broke something in the drivetrain.

Yeah, I would think so too but I can't think of any other reason why it would do such a thing.

It happens when you run 29/30 psi it is directly related to boost / load. Once loads start spiking to 300-310 area the ASC off will turn on.

Did anyone test if the light is turn offed (i.e. ASC is already off) does the light turn on?

Even if you max out the airflow/torque tables it will happen.

So how can we prevent the boost from hitting so high? I can understand now that with a complete full exhaust boost would increase but not this much. From all that I have read from all these companies FMIC swap and exhaust shouldn't be creating this issue in my car yet.

Adjust your wastegate or solenoid duty cycles.

So you are saying it can't be fully tuned out? I am still getting this to happen on my car, however my tuner bumped up my tables a bit more when I got my red than before and it helped some but still happens sometimes.
