I just had this problem too :-( At the track.

Tephra, what do we search for - "ASC off" didn't yield a ton of results. But it seems that it's basically an overboost issue, and should be fixed. In my situation, I was tracking the car when it happened. Jon @ HBSpeed had mentioned some surge in 5th gear, but this isn't the same as surge is it? Jon said he tuned me to the same setup as a Dom 2.0, so boost was hitting 25 psi peak @ 3000rpm, and then down to around 18psi at redline.

so, your evo was hitting over 30 psi too?

the common ASC off (until car reboot) problem is because you are hitting at least 30psi.

not much else to say about it...

either your tuner is aware/happy about that, or they arn't

Any way off moving the limits up so that it happens at say 35psi?

My car does it occasionally even though ive tuned out the boost spike as much as possible (my car now only does it on super cold weather like we are having at the moment)

I think its a good thing that the ASC pops up. Im sure 99% of the people on the street are tuned for less than 30psi. So if it pops up from boosting 30psi and up, so be it. I see it as a safety feature.

Leave it alone..

Its not good when u get a boost spike that switches it off and you dont notice its off (like my car did to my missus when she was driving it)....

For me i dont realy care as i switch the ASC off when on the track.... its just a plain annoyance on the street though when it happens as it can catch some drivers out who may be focused on driving and dont see the dash display flash up and then get caught out (some people i know rely on the ASC to help them all the time )
