Can't read maps?
Sorry if this has been posted, I tried searching on both forums with no joy as to an answer...
I recently received my tactrix cable and downloaded ecuflash ver 1.42 on my acer netbook that has windows 7 running it. Now I was able to dowload the ROM info, but that is it. We were able to get everything to pull up fine on meat_evo's computer with my cable, so the problem has to be a setting on my computer... anyone have any insight?

Not really sure if I understand your question.
Sounds like your saying that you have a tactrix cable, and a PC running windows 7 and you cant get ECUFLASH to open your ROM on your computer but it works on your buddys PC just fine?
If thats the case then please be more clear as to whats not working. Displaying ROM, downloading the ROM, Ect.. on your computer.

Sorry about that, I was a little tired when I posted the thread.
It looks like the download happens, but I can't view any maps, only the basic ROM ID info

Since you can view yours but your buddy can edit his copy his "C:\Program Files\OpenECU\EcuFlash\rommetadata\mitsubishi\evo\ " folder and paste it to yours.
Then reopen ECUFLASH, once open go to file > options
Then change user level to Developer and at that point you should be able to edit all the stuff your friend was on his PC,
