So I noticed on the map notes for the specific map im running (stage 2+cobb sf intake 91 oct) the peak boost target is 23, but according to the boost gauge on the AP, I peak at 28.... is this normalnormal and/or safe with stock IC and piping?

 

Check out the LWS (low wastegate setting) maps. You are overboosting, and need to address that.

 

Are you running a HFC or Test-pipe or any other mods? Without a wide-band and logs it's difficult to say what's OK and what's not. Nevertheless, you should try COBB's "LWG" maps as you are most likely spiking boost. There's another thread on here with someone having the same issue.

 

I am running a full 3" catless exhaust with a K&N cone thrown on the stock maf tubing... I'm gonna try the lwg map and see if that helps...

 

Have you updated your AccessPORT? Do that first and see what happens with the figures you are seeing. If that does not make a change then it could just be that running a completely catless exhaust is causing you to overboost and you might consider running the LWG (low wastegate maps) and see if that lowers your boost at all.
