Reset ECU - learning

Hi,

everytime I reset ECU (due to flashing maps) I have big problems with idle then. I have to let the car idle 10 mins in neutral and 10 mins in gear and only then the car is OK. What the hell can be so off after reset? (LTFTs are fine).

Do you have changes in your nine Idle RPM maps?

I ask because a couple of days ago we identified some incorrect idle map address defs in EDM/ADM Evo X ROMs. 53050009 was one. The correct map addresses are now available for download from goldenevo.com.

The issue was, some map addresses were "shared" between two supposedly separate idle rpm maps. If anyone with these ROMs thought had gone through and revised "all" their idle rpms, they were mistaken.

This sounds interesting - yes, I have increased idle on two from the 9 maps - from 700 to 800 RPM. But how would it be linked with ECU learning something?

i have the same issue and if u drive and put the clutch in and hold it in while coasting the idle bounces but it goes away after 10 mins of driving or "learning"

Not learning, but possibly the ECU switching between maps based on different conditions. Each map does a certain job for certain conditions...

...not that I've seen any explanation as to what those conditions are!

Maybe go back to square one with the idle speed tuning - get the latest XML defs, make sure they all point to sane (and discrete) maps, consider why you actually needed to edit them, why only two and not all of them, and so on.

But I digress. I just thought your issue rang a bell, and wanted to draw your attention to the recent tidy-ups of "Idle RPM" XML defs. Maybe the latest ones will help...

Well, it´s not swiching maps what is happening. If i let it idle for about 10 mins after reflash, I have no idle problems any more until new reflash.
I use latest Cobb ATR version, so new XML definitins for ECUflash would not help me ...
