EVO Stalls

Hello Everyone!

I have a huge problem! I was at the track doing T&T and my EVO started stalling after 3500rpms. I hooked up the scanner and found no codes. No visible smoke or leaks. I made another pass and at WOT my EVO DIES! However, after a few minutes it starts and drives fine under 3500rpms. I don't even know where to start......HELP

What are your mods? Any tuning done? Also, do you have a boost & Air Fuel gauge? If it was me, i would log it when it stalls and see what is going on.

ECU Non-Responsive

Somethings going on with the ECU when I go pass 3500rpms. I get a communication error on my laptop when I get to that point. I have to stop and reconnect. It finally threw a code of P0606 ECU Main Processor Malfunction!

Spot,

With that code you're having signal wire issues somewhere. I don't think your ECU is the problem. Do you have a ECU diagram chart? If not I can email you one! Sounds like a grounding issue with the ECU! Are you any good with a voltage meter? We had a similar issue with one of our custom built EVO's a while back. Send me a pm if you need too!

I agree about checking voltage, especially when running, as a bad alternator changes voltage with RPM.

Well after taking apart my harness and a lot of back probing with a picoscope there was a short to ground wire for number #3 and #4 fuel injectors! Thanks for the engine diagram bro! Also, I love the injectors i got from those guys at horsepowerdepot.com
