I'm at the mitsu dealer getting my AYC pump done under extended warranty (thank god)
My car also has a few recalls and also a BCM replacement.

Earlier I had my car lose communication with the cluster while driving, and subsecquently came back online and dumped into 1st at 85mph. I mentioned this to the tech, and he says it's something he has heard before with these BCMs

My question is, if they replace the BCM what, if any, procedures will I need to do with my tune?
I have the cables and files, however I bought my car with tephra v3 already installed.

By the way, If your car was sold new less than 10 years ago, and has less than 160k on it, the pump is covered and they are doing it regardless of my mods!

 

BCM is a separate unit from the ECM so you shouldn't have issues unless they also reflash the ECM

I'm assuming you mean the ETACS unit when you say BCM?

 

Good to know. They said they don't have to reflash the PCM, but I'm still half expecting to get the "uh, it won't start now" call.

Yes they used the word ETACS specifically. Apparently mine was manufactured in a date that Mitsubishi just wants to flat out replace.
There was quite a few recalls on my car, I'm surprised the previous owner did not do them.

They said it would be a few days for parts, despite the drive being 100mi one way, they gave me a car for a week at no cost. Great dealership for anyone in the Sioux Falls area.
