BTW Keith or Jeff, what was the fix for hitting fuel cut? I am still very curious to see dyno graphs, and when you guys post them, could you put up the boost curves and A/F curves to show what they are doing now? Thanks guys, and keep up the great work.
You said UPGRADED internals, we are talking about stock internals and see how much the new motor can handle before something breaks

At this point, I'm unconcerned with dyno numbers. I want this car on the dragstip. period. That will tell the real story.. and I don't want "driver error" being a factor.

Isn't that a mutually exclusive statement?

Personally I can't wait to see how much further the stock clutch will last. IIRC, previous gen stock clutches gave out around 400-440 whp (dynojet).

I've noticed the same thing you two mentioned. Several threads about these guys where the consumer has ridiculously high numbers (almost too good to believe) and then timeslips that can't stand up to the claimed HP gains or the owner won't post timeslips. I don't know who to believe in those situations, but it does raise some level of doubt for me.

If TurboTrix is willing to make a guarantee of these numbers, than I'm all for it. Until then we'll have to see if these are legit once the car is on a track and they post timeslips.

Also, how safe/reliable is the car at this power level?
i bought my VIII in 2003 and i had my car tune there countless times, i am not good at drag racing but my trap speed was always right on with the dyno numbers. plus where i live we have 3 other dynos around and the funny part is the other dynos were always 10 to 15 whp more so if anything the turbotrix dyno reads on the low side. Besides what do they have to gain from claiming big numbers since they know they have to take to the track and run it and i know they can't wait to do that.
this is from my own experience with the shop i don't know about others.
Turbotrix, keep up the good work, i am following this thread very closely .

If I were in your seat, I would go with vendors that show unbiased results and get good consumer ratings. I personally stay away from vendors that get mixed reviews in the first place.

One guy got 400+whp on stock turbo and bolt ons at 25psi on pump gas on their dyno.

My comment was directed towards the guy who said that he wasn't sure how much power the stock block on the 4b11 could hold being a semi closed deck. This was not a question of the internals, but of the block itself. I too am curious as to what the strength of the internals are just as much as you are. BTW, not trying to argue, just clarifying what I said. Oh, and Keith or Jeff, let's see these syno graphs and boost curves/A/F ratios. You guys are killing me with the anticipation. I can't wait to see the results of the 3.5 in exhaist that you mentioned in the AMS downpipe thread. Thanks.

I found this on the TT website. Still want to see the boost curves though.

I'd like to see some part/modification specific information. I want these parts available to the public!

Here's the latest graph from today and a video.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WWC0dihW1bM

The stock ecu has been a headache to deal with. We spent the last two days playing with boost levels, different blow off valves, fuel pumps, a/f ratios, higher octane fuels and a few other things. The ecu is a lot more sophistacated than previous years and can be quite tempermental. It's quick to shut things down if it sees something it doesn't like so keeping the ecu "happy" has been a chore. This will be easy when our tuning software arives but for now we have to do it the hard way.

I'm really liking that BOV. Sounds like a SSQ! That's really impressive without any real tuning software. I can't wait to talk to you guys about mine! There's no doubt I'll be wanting this on my car, you guys are really doing a phenomenal job. Let's get some pricing info!

This is great news! Looks like 400/400 on pump gas with a tune. 3500lbs what?? Looks like the X is living up to the "Evolution" name!!!

All we're doing is posting results as we get them. We're not ready to offer anything to the general public for the X till we do further testing.

With 2 shop cars now we have the ability to test everything twice to back up our data. We're going to "lean on" the white car to see what the fuel system, turbo and the motor can handle. The other car is getting the basic bolt-ons for now.

I'll have a few run videos up later today.
