Buschur Racing's Evo X has arrived!
This is NOT a race exhaust, as was asked. The muffler is our standard 3" Bullet muffler, the same muffler that we use on our EVO8-9 exhausts, all of the tubing, flanges and hangers are 304 grade SS. No resonators, no reducers. The wye for the twin tailpipes is also 3" and both tailpipes are 3". The inside of the wye is built like a merge collector on a header with LARGE internal area, so it will flow very good. We are using our corner scales to weigh everything. The stock catback is HEAVY. We will post weights of our catback next time it is off the car.
We are going to post sound clips and videos tomorrow. Right now the car has the stock cat still on it. The sound inside the car with the windows up and driving 60 mph is quiet. No, it doesn't sound stock. Stock you can't even here the exhaust. I am sure an offroad pipe is going to make it louder.
Thanks vwjeff.

Dave,
This is EXACTLY the kinds of progressions I've been looking for from a tuner/builder. Put one mod on.. dyno... take it off... put another mod on.. dyno.. Excellent progression! You get to REALLY see how the car handles the parts totally isolated. This gives a MUCH more realistic picture of what each mod is doing to the car.
Btw, the exhaust looks really really nice and low key!
Keep up the great work!

Thanks again to everyone. Seems my ideas are fairly popular. Watch them get "copied".
I am looking around tonight at other projects being built. There are some bad ideas out there................
We are not going to offer the system with our old race muffler, we don't use them anymore. The Bullet isn't as loud as they were and will outflow them. Remember this same muffler is what is on my RS and it is making 680+ whp and running 9.6 at 151 mph.

Honestly, when we released our EVO8 exhausts we had requests for things like: JDM sytle, blued tips, quiet mufflers, no mufflers, loud mufflers etc. At first I attempted to do it all. It caused fitment problems, confusions on builds etc. Finally we built these custom Bullet mufflers that are now our standard and have stuck to them. They have worked extremely well and doing just one system really well has been the best idea yet.
So, I am not planning on offering anything else. I can do the tips differently, instead of the rolled/angle cut tips pictured I can also do straight cut with no roll or angle cut with no roll. Other than that, for the catback, if this is too loud, you will probably have to run someone else's. I can tell you one thing for sure, a SUPER quiet exhaust is going to cost you power, end of story.
You have to find a happy medium. Maybe just the catback and leave the stock cat, that keeps the noise down. Maybe just leave the car stock if you want it really quiet.

With the X being more refined, I wonder if the demand for stealth type systems is going to be larger. It was pretty much non-existent on the VIII and IX cars. I know I will be focusing on stock, or quieter then stock, exhaust with high flow numbers. This is totally obtainable, but takes more time to develop.
I'm looking forward to the sound clips. Your design looks outstanding. Thanks for the quick response.
Exhaust came out great David!
I think thats the only Buschur exhaust I've seen without a white tip or in this case, tips.
Hopefully tomorrow I can take a min. and come up there and see it in person.
