Do not forget to offer a QUIET version of the exhaust system. Stock like sound.

*UPDATE* (in that creepy Robert Stack "Unsolved Mysteries" voice)

They just finished up the upper IC pipe for the X. Here is the prototype picture of what to expect. The finished piece will have the same shape and routing but it will be mandrel bent & polished. Not the welded brushed finish seen here as the prototype. We will also offer this in that "brushed" finish at a lower price.

In Polished Stainless: $295.

In Brushed Stainless: $249

The kit will come with the upper pipe, couplings and clamps.

Without further ado..... the 2 1/2" Buschur Racing Evo X Upper IC Pipe

Something to notice on the picture that Jarrod posted, we did integrate the factory mount for the upper i/c pipe on our kit. This will eliminate the possibility of the i/c pipe ever popping out of the coupling and bashing into/denting the hood. The factory pipe has a tie down bracket on it and we have installed it on ours too.

Let me know if you are coming for sure Jeff and we'll arrange some beers.
Will do man, next friday I will see ya

We left off yesterday with the 3" catback exhaust being added to the car. The car made 227 whp 246 ft lbs of torque.

This morning we finished up our air filter kit and our upper i/c pipe.

Below is the dyno sheet with the 3" catback run against the 3" catback with the air filter kit on it.

We have been doing 3 pulls back to back with each part to make sure they are consistent and then posting the medium of the 3 runs.

The filter alone gained some damn good power, 10 whp and 11 ft lbs of torque.

ALL OF THE TESTING IS BEING DONE WITH THE HOOD CLOSED. I also had all the factory plastic installed around the core support and the factory air inlet to the factory air box installed. The air inlet was cut to fit with the new filter and still allow some cool outside air in.

Here is the dyno sheet:

Next up, we had already built the upper i/c pipe and put the stock one back on just to test the air filter kit. So I left the car on the dyno and just swapped upper i/c pipes. I was suprised with the results. I truly thought this part would be something to basically add just for looks, I was wrong.

Adding the upper i/c pipe gained 8 whp and 1 ft lb of torque. Gains were from 4,000 rpm all the way to redline. I'm surprised. The stock piece is pretty darn well engineered, not good enough though I guess.

Here is the dyno sheet comparing the 3" catback and air filter to the 3" CB, Airfilter and upper i/c pipe.

So my question would be are you guys going to take baby steps or work on r&d for a turbo kit maybe even piston & rod combo drop in. What are the plans.
