Have you guys considered building a heat shield for the intake. Ive always thought that it was pretty strange that the aftermarket intakes all sit directly over the tranny(hot). Do you think that it could be beneficial to have a heat shield around the cone or possibly relocate the filter?

Relocating the filter would be really out of the question as there is no other GOOD place to put it.

If you keep the stock air snorkel in the engine bay it will blow direct air from outside onto the filter just like it did to the factory box. Then the heat would not be an issue.

All of our dyno testing was done here with the hood closed and our kit did show gains.

I was wondering, did you guys mount the intake filter somehow so it doesn't flop around? I was told by the dealer that when they flashed my car that because the intake filter was not attached to anything that they were getting spike in the A/F ratios on the air. Is your bracket mounted somehow to something? and if not how did you guys do it? did you guys just leave it hanging there?

pretty much did you guys just put a Filter on it and just let it free hang there or do you have it bolted down or like ghetto zip tied to something? What the dealer was saying to Love9sick is that when they would run the car the intake would move up and down(he had the stock air inlet and the front part of the box going to the cone filter) and would spike the A/F ratios. Did you guys have a problem like this?

Yes it comes with a bracket & hardware as mentioned.

We definitely would not leave it hanging to just flop around. Thats just asking for problems.

Love9sick has had on a cone filter on his car for about 2 weeks now with now CEL so I am pretty sure it'll be fine. Plus the the sound that it gives the car just makes you all wet inside
