Judging from the usual response time for EVO parts guys they make a lot of hype with initial posts then fail to deliver for days/weeks afterwards.

Ill check this post in 3-4 weeks for results.

I dont know what you are talking about, most vendors do a great job. Tuning this setup is quite difficult especially since they are the first ones putting this motor threw the ringer!

They said they were going to "try" to get it on the dyno friday evening...hence the "try". No one said results friday nite. It hasn't even been 3 full days since the turbo kit was installed Relax, I know the guys @ Vivid are just as excited (if not more..) to see some results as anyone else is.

Where the hell are the results? Did you guys pop the motor and are just not wanting to tell us? That's the only thing that I can think of if the numbers were supposed to be posted on friday and here we are today with nothin. Show numbers within a day of making a thread like this or don't post it.

Calm down. It is a big task trying to tune that car with not a lot to support it. IE- Injector Scaling, Injector latency, MAF scaling etc...

With a turbo this big you would want to scale the MAF as I can assure you are going to max out that MAF very very quickly.

They will get it soon just give them some time to figure it out.

Just out of curiousity though, why would the fact that it's a semi-closed deck block have anything to do with how the top end holds up to high boost? I would imagine that the top end will hold up just fine unless the boost is so high that it tries to separate the head from the block, and even the 4g63 isn't immune to that. That's what ARP head studs are for. I'd say that the concern should be more for the block not warping or cracking since it's not a closed deck. I still don't see the correlation between the block being semi-closed and whether or not the top end will hold up...
Not here to argue this isnt the thread for it... madfast nailed it on the head, the weaker point on the 4g63 is the bottem end not the block, you never have to sleeve a 4G63...

The 4B11 being untested but looked at extensivly, it seems that the 4B11's weaker point is the block not the internals. Being that we will be the first to test the limits of this motor, it should be intresting to see how it holds up under extreem conditions. No one knows but if there was to be a "weaker" point on the 4B11 the semi closed deck would seem to be it. Most likly when your pushing 40 + PSI and a lot of heat...

Semi closed/open deck I dont care, its simply not fully closed... that was my only point, I dont build motors for a living I just try to see how much I can extract from them time will tell with this one

Car is on the dyno now! With 850cc injectors we are making sure drivabilty are perfect then going for the big power!
I will get sheets and numbers later....

Thanks

Evan Smith

Sir, I believe we said TRY to get it on the dyno there was no promises... Mitch is
100% correct there is a lot to do here. The whole point of this thread was to show what we are working on and what we are doing, dyno numbers are a small part to making a turbo kit a turbo kit. We will get dyno numbers soon as the car is now on the dyno, have you ever scaled a MAF for a 35R? Watch a pro tuner such as Mitch, it takes a while... PLEASE be patient!!

Perhaps the title of the post should have been "We are working on a 35R kit!" instead of coming out and giving yourself the "first in the usa" crown without any proof other than pictures to back it up?

* goes to strap on a 40R so he can claim he is first in the usa *
