Upper Intercooler Piping????

Alright, maybe this topic has been beaten to death, but I'll ask about it anyways. If there is a thread that has discussed this before please let me know.

I'm not trying to go too big with mods just yet, an intake, boost controller, and a reflash for now just incase I need to take it into the stealership on the fly. That being said, how much of a difference would new upper intercooler piping make in terms of power increases on top of the intake, etc.? Does anyone have this current set-up? Numbers would be helpful...before anyone starts, I know numbers are numbers (blah blah trap speed, 1/4 mile time, etc.) They will just help me justify my decision.

^^^ what he said. You're not going to really feel anything on top. I'm sure a Dyno would show some gains but nothing you're really going to get excited about. There are two other tuning solutions that are going to be available within a month you may want to wait for those before making your decision.

Dsport picked up a couple HP adding an upper ic pipe. The gains were actually very broad all over the powerband.

Yes, atleast 2. There's the Z-chip and Ecu-flash. Jestr tuning is also coming out with their own solution but I don't know if it's going to be ready in one month.

Right, I agree. I put mine on along with an intake and noticed above all else, the studder was gone. My butt dyno isn't very sensitive! But on a real dyno, gains will be present.

Ahh yes, the infamous Z-chip. I'm excited to hear product reviews as soon as it becomes available. Any ideas on price?

Also, thanks for the input on the upper intercooler piping.

If I'm not mistaken, they're going to start putting in on some local X's this week to beta test. They want to get some in other parts of the country to see how it performs at different altitudes and temperatures.
