No offense, but it sounds like you need to learn how to drive stick. There's no way your clutch should wear out that fast unless you're launching at every light. You're most likely excessively slipping the clutch when starting from a stand still. Probably not rev matching your downshifts either.

+1 on the not rev matching the downshifts comment. To the OP, if you don't know how to rev match and heal/toe downshift then you are putting excessive wear on your clutch every time you downshift. Learn these techniques asap if you don't know them yet. This is a pretty basic instructional video on how to heal/toe downshift, although I would recommend learning how to rev match first before heal toe. http://video.google.com/videosearch?...en&emb=0&aq=f#

why have mitubishi put in a stock clutch?? no point in that.... if my car isnt going in for warranty work...... it doesnt go.....
the deal is not going to help by giving them money for somthing thats going to be worn out in the future. should have gone with the act and have a good evo shop do it....
then if you install mods in the future the after market clutch will handle the added power.
in my experiance, when ever i break somthing oem i replace it with somthing better.

my clutch wore off right after i did some few hard launches.
i will definitely go for after market clutch after this some wear out again.
I ask the dealership and they say after market clutch will void my warranty.
they just keep finding excuse to deny the warranty.

Based on the initial post, I would suspect the clutch is at fault. There is no surprise that's what it turned out to be. In Targa Newfoundland and Targa West, the Evo X experienced clutch problems, and in the latter event an Evo X RS was forced retired.

the clutch on the Evo is weak no doubt about this.
I drove stick shift for 30 years and I have done over 1,000,000 miles.
I also raced cars. I never have a clutch problem even I kept some car up to 200,000 miles with the stock clutch.
On the Evo it's already happen to me at least 3 times than I smell the "ferrodo" after a quick launch or just moving the car on my slopy driveway.
If my clutch failed I will not accept from Mitsubishi to refuse to take it under waranty. I never brought the car to the drag strip.
