It's easy to do it in your garage but I recommend 2 people because someone need to hold it up as you are bolting it in or at least sliding into th rubber hangers. It took me 2 hour to do mine primarily because of the slightly rusted bolts.
Don't you also need a hoist?
I live in an apartment complex in the Sydney CBD and my parking space is *just* wide enough to fit the car with about 40cm between the door and the wall on one side (and the other side has a gap <5cm from mirror to pole).
No room here

Would you say that the HKS exhaust could fit in the back seat of an Evo X? I got it delivered to my office but have no way of transporting it anywhere if it doesn't fit in the Evo >_>
(damn, starting to wish the Evo had either fold down back seat/or easy to fold front seats lol)
Put it on sooner than later - you'll def enjoy it!

The 2 mufflers easily fit in the back seat. For the mid-pipe, put the passenger side seat back, then put it in through the rear door, with the Y facing up. The single end will fit easily where the passenger's feet would go. Buckle it in and you're all set!

Thought I'd do a quick repost of what I mentioned in Adam's MAPerformance thread:
Hope this helps any other X owners who aren't sure if they can fit the exhaust in their boot/back seat. Only problem now is when I install the new one, what am I to do with the factory pipe/exhaust... they won't be brand new/clean so it'll be a lot harder to transport!
Yep it arrived here yesterday and by gosh it's a GIANT box. Here's a shot of it in my office;

Pretty hard not to notice it!
For those with Evo X's and aren't sure if they can take the HKS Hi-Power catback exhaust home... yes you can. Simply open the box, the two cannons can fit in the boot easily but I kept mine inside another box which I found and lined it with bubblewrap and the foam padding (from the original HKS box). Then the midpipe is the challenge but if you push the front passenger seat all the way forward, you can fit it diagonally. As it'll be resting against the rear window glass, on the leather seats, and possibly next to the factory amp underneath the passenger seat, I'd recommend wrapping in bubblewrap the whole pipe and especially at the ends, then wrapping it in the foam/cardboard which came in the box, and as an added safety feature, put the remaining foam bags (from the HKS box) against the pipe and the seat to act as a cushion, as well as on the floor between the amp and the pipe.
In summary, it all fits. Thanks again Adam. I'll be recommending you to my fellow Sydneysiders as well since you have a lot of gear, can offer good prices (including shipping via FedEx!) and offer great communication (which is vital when spending thousands of dollars over the internet!).

All installed and it sounds... epic.

Thanks to everyone in this thread for the help. The paint diagram was a bit hard to follow but we figured it out in the end
And in case anyone ever wonders, yes you do need to remove the tow hook on AUDM (Australian) models to fit the left cannon.

It was really loud when I first fitted it but now it feels a lot quieter. I'm pretty happy with it and don't feel it's to loud.
The only time I notice it is if I'm WOT or it's silent outside (e.g. at 2am in the suburbs).
That being said I love the deep sound and it's nowhere near as loud as the majority of other cars with modified exhausts around my area. Also has a 'quality' feel to it in terms of the aural sensation!
