The difference between the Harman Motive box & AEM box is that AEM's is PLASTIC & our box is metal.

Yeah, clicked the link, it looks higher quality than the AEM, so does the actual intake.

Anyone running the Air box with this intake and leaving the top off?

I am thinking about ordering this intake with the box but on top of the benifits of an aftermarket intake I do like the sound of the turbo spool and BPV... So I was wondering if I got the box to shield the filter from the AC fan / idle issues if it would still work if I just leave the top of the box to allow for the sounds of the turbo

Does anyone run this with the AP? How does it do? Which map do you use? and last question... any dyno numbers running the intake with the AP? I haven't seen any.

I would assume you could use the AEM map when running the box, or the AMS intake map when running it without the box. The intake looks to be the exact same thing as my AMS intake.

Yea the Harman Motive and the AMS short intake are the exact same (except you get all the hose connections on the Harman for free and have to pay for them on the AMS), So if you have the Harman Motive intake (with out the box) and the Cobb AP, use the AMS intake tunes.

Oh and you might want to pick up the AMS sheild for $50 just so its basicall exactly like the AMS set up as far as using the Cobb AP AMS tune..

$225 and it comes with all the bungs + $50 AMS sheild... $275 total...

$385 with bungs needed to bolt up all the stock hoses

Hey Guys,
This should answer all 3 of your questions & comments.
Our Intake has been engineered to work on the stock ecu as well as the Cobb Accessport Stage 1 & 2. Of course you will only get the most out of your vehicle with a custom tune to your exact specs/mods.
On an otherwise 100% STOCK car (no MBC, no exhaust, nothing), our intake gained 42lb/ft of torque @ 4000rpm and 20whp @ 5700rpm. When combined with the Harman Motive UICP (upper intercooler pipe) and turboback exhaust system w/ MBC, gains of 60+ WHP are available.

The Difference Between Other Intakes & Our Intake:
Our intake pipe goes from the filter all the way to the turbo replacing the restrictive stock rubber piece. Unlike many aftermarket intakes, our pipe is a single mandrel bent piece with no welding for the smoothest possible flow and clean looks. We also use an AEM Dryflow Filter w/ Integrated Velocity Stack *Uses No Oil!*

Hope This Helps,
Jonny

We are also currently offering free US Ground Shipping this month. If your attempting to order via the website vs the phone, shipping charges will be adjusted on your order.

*Mustang Dyno*

Thumbs up Swoooooshhhhhhhhh

I'm glad I got my HM Intake, the thing sounds great "Swoooooooshhhhhhh",looks 10X better and most importantly runs great.

I'm running Cobb AP Stg-1 93 w/AEM map v1.01. Yesterday I D/L the brand new"AMS" map. I was quite surprised, def lost some Power over the AEM. The AEM is "right there" the TQ is much better lower and pulls harder (better response). The AMS map tuning seems to lag more and thus:need to push the pedal down more .( like in stock form-heavy feeling) Even on the top the AEM map takes the cake.
This is based on my Evo w/93 in my climate and temp/fuel quality. You may want to try the 2 and decide for yourself, but there is a night and day difference for sure w/ my X.

Young HigH: Def try and tell us what you think.

Can you still get "Sunoco Ultra 94" in NJ? They dropped it here in NY (MMT in it). I used to fill up the STi with 94 couple yrs ago atleast.
