I have the MR so the BOV sound will be different from a GSR with the shifts...

but all in all its an amazing intake for the price and VERY! easy to put on. Granted I do a lot of work on cars from building engines to custom turbo kits but it took me 30-45min going slow taking my time/ chatting with my neighbour about it ahah
Dude, that intake looks pretty damn sweet! Heh I was just gonna ask you if it was hard to put on, cuz I'm thinking of ordering this intake sometime this summer. I'm a complete noob when it comes to this stuff, so it might take me a little longer. I'm kinda waiting for Harmon Motive to get the upper intercooler piping in stock and might order both things.

Also on a side note, I see you are from Calgary as well. Do you happen to know if the Mitsu dealerships in Calgary here are **** about mods and voiding warranty? I tried emailing the service manager at Platinum, but he never got back to me.

Once again, Thanks for all the great & positive responses. Install is fairly simple and can be accomplished with basic hand tools. (Typically takes me 20 min to install a intake but on the safe side with some cars up to an hour. However for the Evo X its pretty clear cut & simple) Hope that helps. Also our exhaust will be available in 4-8 weeks...sorry its still sold out. I'll be updating everyone periodically when things are in & out of stock. However.. GREAT NEWS! We're extending free shipping on our intakes for the month of June as well! Harman Motive also took home 1st this past weekend at the Redline Time Attack Modified Class. The Evo X took 2nd in street!

Yea My last car was supercharged AND turboed so with my intake I could hear the turbo sucking but it sounded a lot different than my evo.. and the whine of the supercharger..

Yea I am pretty sure Brandon from Platinum is cool with small mods like intake and exhaust. Nothing really more though (I think he said intercooler and charge pipes too) but I wasnt going to push my luck.

That's sweet! I guess I'll just be waiting for the good news about the upper intercooler pipes being in stock again.

Alot of EvoM members have been PMing & requesting our intake in Black. We just confirmed today we will be releasing our Evo X Intake in Black Crinkle Powder Coating (the same coating we use now on our WRX/STi Intakes pictured below). Here is a taste!

Expect the Evo X intakes in black in 4-6 weeks.

Hey I just installed my HM intake along with Forge RS bov and the install was pretty easy. The only thing I had to cut/adjust some hoeses because they were too long. Besides all that I have zero problems with idle and the car/intake sounds really good! My friend with a Gt40 on his Maxima thinks that I'm hiding a big turbo lol....

I have this intake also and I really like it. I get a CEL if i drive it long distance but every day driving I dont get a single issue. I also bought the AMS heatshield and everything works great. Great buy.

However now I wish I would of waited and bought it in black :-(

When are the boxes going to be done and shipping? Got my intake, waiting on the airbox - think I was second in line. You are AMS are the only ones I am waiting on to throw a ton of parts on in one shot and drive the car out to HBSpeed for a tune.

Just wanted to check-in - anxious to get all this stuff on.
